For the 1996 season Michael Schumacher switched to Ferrari driving the F310 which carried the number one
from his previous championship victory. The early season car had a low nose that was changed to a high nose later in the season.
The F310 was an innovative chassis design by John Barnard and was the first Ferrari to have a V10.
Ferrari suffered reliability problems and low engine power so Schumacher only managed three wins,
but still finished second in the championship.
